Vouchjar legal papers
Privacy Policy
Effective: October 11, 2026
Vouchjar collects testimonials for small websites and shows them with an embeddable widget. This page covers three groups of people: those who have a Vouchjar account, those who leave a testimonial through a Vouchjar link, and those who visit a website that shows a Vouchjar wall.
1. The short version
- An account is an email address. There is no password; we email you a sign-in link.
- If you leave a testimonial, what you type is stored and, once the site owner approves it, shown publicly on their website. That is the point of it.
- The widget on other people's websites sets no cookies and does not track visitors. We count how many times each wall loads per day, and nothing else.
- We use PostHog analytics on vouchjar.com itself to understand how people find and use the product. We never sell personal data or use it for advertising.
2. If you have an account
We store your email address, the walls you create and their names, the testimonials collected for them, and your plan. To sign you in we email a one-time link that expires after 20 minutes; we keep your email address and a one-way hash of each link, never the link itself.
If you upgrade, Stripe handles the payment. We store the Stripe customer and subscription identifiers so we know your plan is active. We never see or store your card details.
3. If you leave a testimonial
The form asks for your testimonial, a star rating, your name, and optionally a title or company and a photo. All of it is stored and sent to the owner of that wall for review.
If the owner approves it, your testimonial, rating, name, title, and photo are shown publicly on their website and can be read by anyone who loads that page. Uploaded photos are stored at a public web address. Please don't include anything you wouldn't want published.
To have your testimonial changed or removed, ask the business you wrote it for, or email us and we will remove it.
A site owner can also add a testimonial by pasting in something you posted publicly on X or LinkedIn. Vouchjar does not visit or scrape those sites; the owner copies the text in themselves and is responsible for having your permission to republish it.
4. If you visit a site that shows a Vouchjar wall
Your browser loads a small script and the approved testimonials from vouchjar.com. The widget sets no cookies, stores nothing in your browser, and does not identify you. We add one to a daily count of loads for that wall. Like any website, our hosting provider processes your IP address to deliver the request and protect against abuse.
5. Cookies and analytics on vouchjar.com
Signing in sets two cookies: a session cookie that keeps you signed in for up to 30 days, and a small cookie that only tells our pages to show "Dashboard" instead of "Sign in".
We use PostHog to count page views and a handful of product events: signing up, creating a wall, receiving a testimonial, a wall's widget loading for the first time each day, and upgrading. PostHog sets its own cookie and browser storage to recognise a returning browser, and once you sign in those events are linked to your account. We honour your browser's Do Not Track setting. Cloudflare Web Analytics also counts visits without cookies.
Stripe sets its own cookies on its checkout and billing pages.
6. Who else handles it
- Cloudflare, which hosts vouchjar.com and serves the widget.
- Supabase, which hosts the database and the photo storage. Vouchjar's data lives in its own project in Canada and is not mixed with any other app of ours.
- Resend, which sends the sign-in emails.
- Stripe, which processes payments for Vouchjar Pro.
- PostHog, which provides the analytics described above, on servers in the United States.
7. Keeping and deleting
We keep your account and its walls until you ask us to delete them. Deleting a testimonial in your dashboard removes it permanently. To delete your whole account, email orchardskydigital@gmail.com from the address on the account; we delete the account, its walls, and every testimonial collected for them.
Payment records are kept by Stripe as the law requires.
8. Children
Vouchjar is a tool for businesses and is not directed at children under 13.
9. Changes to this policy
If what Vouchjar collects or who handles it changes, this page changes first, and the effective date above changes with it.
